Character Name: Asemu Asuno
Blurb: Asemu is the son of a war hero, and struggles to live up to his father's name -- until he decides to just be himself. He's a nice guy (genuinely), has a bit of Chronic Hero Syndrome, and is very capable of being a badass despite being a bit adorkable in social situations.

AU Info: In this setting, he's a ranger and has begun making a reputation for himself as an exceptional ranger. Eventually I want him to gain some form of the "White Devil" nickname he picks up in canon. (On that note, he wears white a lot.)

Pre-Existing CR: Fellow nobles and rangers might be familiar with him at least. He didn't do much socializing in upper-class circles, but he's bound to know some of the other noble kids.

Looking for: Anything! Friends, rivals, proteges, and love interests are all welcome.

Potential Connections: He's a member of the ranger corps, and lately he's been traveling to Citadel a little more often for more opportunity on how to master his flight abilities.

Other Info: When he wants to, Asemu is capable of blocking out psychic powers. I'm open to working with it if it comes up.

Character Name: Rei Ryugazaki

Blurb: Dorky academic whiz who was persuaded to leave his high school's track team to join the swim team-- nevermind the fact that he didn't even know how to swim at the beginning. He slowly learns to swim (but only one style-- the butterfly stroke) and becomes friends for life with everyone else on his team.

He might seem a little grumpy and a little tsun-tsun at first, but he quickly warms up and shows off his true level of dork and squishiness very easily.

AU Info: Very similar to canon, overall, except for the part about learning how to swim. Instead he's fairly new trainer who has been skipping class lately in favor of exploration and meeting all of the pokemon! Unfortunately, he's not Enlightened-- just a (far from) ordinary guy-- and he still can't swim.

Pre-Existing CR: Academics, classmates, people who loiter in the library, people who are sorta sporty or outdooorsy. He's a friendly, upstanding person for the most part and, even if your character doesn't visually recognize him, they're bound to recognize his voice.

He's...quite loud when he's passionate about something.

Looking for: Classmates, friends, teachers, fellow members of the track team, and I'd really love for someone to actually make him learn how to swim once and for all.

Potential Connections: Rei typically hangs out in the library or the park anymore. He's not really a member of anything yet, although I'd love for him to find a way to use his big brain in application with his newfound love for pokemon.

Other Info: Not....really? I'm hoping for castmates eventually to join the game because of how heavy the emphasis on teamwork is in canon. Also, for the possible name confusion with the Sailor Moon cast-- I'd really love an opportunity to play that up someday.

Character Name: Eiji Hino
Blurb: A wandering doofus who seems to have a giant Good Samaritan complex and no direction in his life. He's friendly but detached, and is in need of some friends to fix that. He's also reckless and will go to extreme lengths to help someone and completely disregard his own life.

AU Info: Eiji is a wanderer who hasn't been in Union for a while, and was just kind of bumming around everywhere else. It's possible that if you're from some of the outside places like Caldera or Citidel you may have seen this colorful hobo passing through! He doesn't stick around long though, usually to work up some funds by taking up odd jobs and then he's gone again.

For people native to Union you all might remember the name Eiji Hino as that kid who used to volunteer at an orphanage that burned down a few years ago. He was one of the few survivors. His parents made a huge deal out of him being a hero and that's about the last time anyone really say him before he came back into the game.

What Eiji needs is good friends and people who are not afraid to force their way into his life where he's otherwise pretty detached. And to also get mad at him for being a reckless idiot because he is.

Pre-Existing CR: He grew up as a Noble kid! So anyone in that circle would likely know him! I am super down for people to have known him before he ran away into the wilderness.

Looking for: Friends, family, rivals. I enjoy people who push his buttons as well as anyone who's willing to get close to him and help him through his issues!

Potential Connections: He's fond of parks and places that Pokemon frequent. He can probably be found in the habitats or taking care of strays. He also needs a job if anyone's willing to offer!

Blurb: The son of the leader of the biggest yakuza organization in Japan, he was invited to Hope's Peak Academy as the Super High School Level Gangster. Rude and defensive about his looks and capabilities, but cares desperately about those close to him.

AU Info: Still the son of a crimelord, though the Kuzuryuu family is much smaller and has less influence over Union City. He's working hard to change that without drawing too much attention from the authorities. Shiny Poochyena Shifter.

Pre-Existing CR: Criminal connections (current or past, assets or victims) or former classmates--he's about nineteen or twenty, so in that age range--or folks who might've grown up with him in Ninetails Vale. I'm flexible and love AU plotting so I can work with what you want!
Looking for: People who aren't gonna freak out that he's kind of a criminal and criminals who aren't gonna freak out that he's kind of a good guy despite everything. People who can weather boys who shout when they're embarrassed and won't take it to heart. Oh! Or law enforcement that wants to get up in his grill! Though that will take some plotting.

Lucas's canonical favorite thing is Love which should tell you just about everything you need to know... Once a shy, timid crybaby, he's been working on putting himself out there and being more courageous; nowadays, he's more likely to yell about how friendship and love can resolve everything instead of shying away. He's friendly in a reserved sort of manner, so he'll easily make friends with anyone of any age, but he keeps his burdens and secrets close to his heart.

AU Info: Nothing too particular to the AU! I think mostly what I've done is help him mature a little bit. He lost his family as he did in his canon, so I might do something with him finding revenge/peace (more likely peace) with that eventually.

Pre-Existing CR: Yes! Lucas works in the Medical Center as a student intern of sorts - he's a prodigious psychic healer and can do all sorts of things but for now he's just looking on and learning. He's studying normal medicine, too. He also still goes to school in the mornings, so he'll be happy to get to know other students.

Looking for: Other kids around his age (thirteen)! People to encourage him to be less hesitant! People like others in his canon - spunky princesses, quiet thieves, and... monkeys and pet dogs. Parent figures, and friends of all ages, really. One of the themes of Mother 3 is intergenerational friendship.
Potential Connections: Besides the medical center and such, Lucas goes out to the Forest Shrine very often... He finds it relaxing. He also visits the spooky Ninetales region on occasion where he's learning how to meditate???

Blurb: An android who was build for singing. He's a bit insecure in his abilities and his first impression tends to be a bit cold, but he can actually be pretty playful and fun.

AU Info: He was made 500+ years ago and then was kill during the war. Recently he was found in the Old City, where he was then reactivated and repaired. Buuuut he has amnesia, so his knowledge of the Old City is nil and his knowledge of Pokemon is also pretty sparse.

Pre-Existing CR: Anybody who could have conceivably been on the trip to the Old City that found him, or anybody who could have conceivably worked on his repairs.

AU Info: She's a robot that was popular before the fall of humanity, and wound up dead in the old city until being recently reactivated. Now she has amnesia. Hooray!

Pre-Existing CR: Generally not, unless you are also 500+ years old.... OH YEAH someone that found her or helped repair her are a possibility though. And you know what, maybe someone that helped Rin and Len get their starters as well?

[Setsuna] is the civilian form of Sailor Pluto, guardian of time. She basically spends her entire time outside of the door of time and preventing invasions from the future or other dimensions.

[Bolin] is a poor boy from a poor family from Caldera. He's a Rock/Ground type with a mysteriously absent brother who he talks about but left back in Caldera because he wanted to SEE THE WORLD. He likes to perform for fun and is super friendly.

[Setsuna] is a young woman from a wealthy family in Union. She has bonded with several pokemon now and does a lot for the theater and, more covertly, for the Divine Defense Force. Setsuna is the reincarnation of one of the Savior's companions, though she's still in the dark in terms of a lot of her memories, but she knows more than some others. She has a gift for fashion and clothes. She's pretty quiet. She also works for the University, though that's been taking a back seat lately.

Character Name: Yuuna Sugasawa


AU Info: Yuuna is a fairly easygoing young woman with a travel bug. She's not at all interested in staying in one place, and her heart is very much adventurous. She has a fairly relaxed nature in terms of how she interacts with other people, and she's very committed to uncovering more about the world and the world as it was. In a lot of ways she's very goofy, but Yuuna's serious side really comes out when there's danger or work to be done, particularly for the betterment of humanity. She's really creative as well, and loves to sketch or photograph things when she can.

Yuuna is both a (sometimes) volunteer at the medical facility and one of the instructors at a small martial arts school. During her school days, Yuuna was something of a floater, and an excellent student. Her teachers sort of humored her, and she ended up working almost all the way through programs for medical work and history...until she ended up getting bored and becoming a trainer. In a way, she sees working with Pokemon as a chance to do something good (and views her propensity for boredom as a massive character flaw), and after spending time getting ready has fairly recently started to go out and explore. Martial arts are one of her passions, and one of the few things she's managed to keep doing without getting bored.

She also has earned the ire of a large number of Croagunk (There may be froggy assassins coming after her), is something of a natural disaster with legs, and is generally a pretty friendly gal! She's also considering joining the Rangers, thanks to a conversation with Jade.

Pre-Existing CR: Yuuna works with the doctors sometimes, using her medical training and not letting it go to waste, so if your character is involved with that then they may have met. Additionally, she's helped out at one of the school's dojo/gyms, so if your character is into fighting like that, or fitness classes, or stuff like that it's possible they've met? Or possible school friends, people who occasionally visit the bars, and maybe even fighter types who've seen her at local inter-dojo fighting tournaments or something?

Looking for: I'm looking for people who might be interested in doing long-distance trips outside Union, possibly for several days at a time and people who might be interested in a kind of explorer's support group. Fellow martial artists would be cool. And people who might be up for less serious things too. I'd really like for Yuuna to get a small CR circle who get exasperated with her, or who encourage her more wild tendencies. A night of ill-advised drunken revelry, stupid dares, that sort of thing.

Other Possibilities: The medical center, martial arts gyms, around a decent but not exorbitantly expensive area of the Residential area, a favorite bar, these are all possibilities.



Character Name: Rei Hino


AU Info: This version is based on the manga incarnation, so she is not the boy crazy idol wannabe who constantly yells at everything and is instead a much quieter and more reserved girl with a hot temper. She might seem distant and cold at first but when she warms up to you then she may surprise you. The BNW AU for her parallels the other castmates here as well as canon. She is a partially awakened Enlightened of the fire and psychic types who lives in a small shrine to a flame deity with her grandfather. She is a Kindred Soul, and thanks to that and her strange powers and accurate fortunes, Rei has a reputation as a somewhat odd but lovely girl who has an easier time dealing with Pokemon than people. She is beautiful (as in canon) but not really interested in that sort of thing (again, parallel of canon), and at least in her local area she's got a reputation for being a somewhat creepy, icy young lady.

Rei's just begun taking an interest in being a Trainer, and has taken several day/few days long trips. She's begun spending time with her other castmates, but still remains unaware of the destiny that binds them all together. She is, like canon, unimpressed with men and finds it hard to trust them...but she'll warm up with time. Hopefully.

Pre-Existing CR: Rei is a little guarded around new people, and as such she doesn't go out much. Schoolmates are a possibility, as are people who are interested in religion/would frequent Hikawa Shrine where she lives/works with her grandpapa. Fellow channeler/shaman types are also possible connections. Or people who may have heard of her "reputation" as a gifted fortune teller.

Looking for: Well, non-castmate CR I don't have much of yet. Rei's very new to BNW, and as such has not met too many people. I'd love for her to have someone to go rant to and interact with, and I'd honestly like someone to try hitting on her and have that develop into some sort of weird CR that could go negative or positive. Also, basically? She's new! Give me CR!

Other Things: Rei frequents her shrine, but isn't terribly sociable yet, and as such beyond the neighborhood around it? She doesn't go many places. Get her out?

Pre-Existing CR: Swords, Rangers, people she may have helped somewhere along the way. She also likes to try to forge her own weapons (she isn't nearly as good at it as her OU counterpart), so may know a few engineers as well.

Pre-Existing CR: Hagrid is still pretty new around here so it's more or less open in this category. Throw ideas my way and I am 99% certain I will be all for it.

Potential Connections: He will be spending more time outside of the city than inside since he feels most comfortable out there. But, when he isn't traveling, he'll definitely be spending time at the Habitat because oh look-- pokemon. AU Info: Minako just got her first Pokémon, but I still want to start her down the path of being Enlightened and the reincarnation of the Savior's helper by her finding a Meowth to name Artemis. She's a new trainer now, so she'll likely need help or a really good excuse to go wandering to look for one. She likes to spy on people and play matchmaker, so stalking after someone she finds interesting is completely a plausible way to get her to wander into trouble. ^_^; She's also going to be participating in the next wave of tryouts at the theatre!

Pre-Existing CR: Minako's a terrible student, so she's likely in some sort of cram school program to help her along. She's also really into volleyball and gymnastics, so she'd be on those teams after school. And she's an aspiring actress so she can be found hanging out in the theatre district or with the drama club. Open to all options here!

AU Info: Nozomi's parents passed when she was very young, which led to her awakening to her Enlightened powers. She has since been adopted by the Toujou family, a subset of the Fey dynasty family. She helps run a small shop in Ninetails Vale and has been known for her fortune telling skills; her readings almost always come true.

Pre-Existing CR: Before settling in the Toujou family, Nozomi was shuffled around through a few different families, and was generally a pretty quiet (see: slightly creepy at times, depending) child growing up. I think it might be interesting exploring relationships with people that might have known her when she was younger, during that time.

Nozomi also helps run a small shop in Ninetails Vale, a small part of Union dedicated to more occult-based things.
Looking for: I'm not incredibly picky when it comes to CR for Nozomi. She can, depending on the circumstance, chat up just about anyone--and, failing that, she has enough nosy Pokemon to throw at people that she could interact with.
Potential Connections: I would really like to get Nozomi at least acquainted with Pokemon contests in the very near future and would not be opposed to helping coordinate one OOCly along with a few other people.

Blurb: Maya's still a channeller, but she's been taking her role as a ghost/psychic teacher a little more seriously, and has been running around doing 'house calls' to work with ghosts across the city.
She has a stats page but it lacks her personality so far. Anyway, she's pretty fun for a spooky girl, just like a gengar (the father she never met was a gengar shifter, after all) and she's hatched a gastly that is shiny, so she'll start to make trouble with her... She's a big meddler who loves to have fun and could really get used to having some more friends.

AU Info: As mentioned, she's been trying to teach ghost and psychic types at the Kurain School. It's a part of the neighbourhood known as Ninetails Vale, where she lives with her cousins Nozomi and Jinxie. She loves them a lot and will stick up for them any chance she gets, so don't get on their bad side. The Fey family is 'old money' and were nobles until the incident with her mother, so Maya is doing her best to re-establish the Kurain School as a trustworthy name. Part of that, though, is making friends with people who can possibly protect them, since Ghosts aren't known for their trustworthy nature in the first place. This may lead to a potential partnership with the family of a certain Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu, who she's been pranking friends with since childhood.

Pre-Existing CR: Like I said, the Fey family is 'old money'. They kind of went into exile after a quiet incident involving Maya's mother, after which her mother was purported to be a fraud and honestly, who trusts a ghost?

She's been in the spooky part of town most of her life, but if anyone frequents that area, it's possible!

Looking for: More friends, but also potentially negative CR! Maya is a strongly-ghost-type and she's also a channeller, so there's every chance people could believe her a fraud, especially after her mother's incident. She has a guard dog now so I am completely fine with people not liking her.

AU Info: There are some things in Elly's AU that I won't be able to initially talk about, but there are a few things to know. Originally from Gigas, she'll be a Child of the Howling Gale (have fun working that one out). Having recently gone through some bit of trauma, she'll probably be a bit cold at first. That shouldn't last too terribly long.

Pre-Existing CR: This is difficult, given her back story. She has no previous connection with Union, having never been there before her introduction. However, there are a few hooks in there for those people with any involvement in the Caldera-Gigas plot, as she likely would have been around during that time. Let me know if you have that in mind and we'll work something out.

Looking for: Both positive and negative CR, especially considering where she comes from and some of her views because of that. I'd also like to find a few people that would be willing to help introduce her to the city, the customs, etc.

Ami does not know she's an Enlightened but will be finding out on her birthday around Sep. 10th. Ami has never not scored top in her class. She's not really looking for love, studying and her pokemon being her FIRST love, though as she gets closer to real friends, that will shift. She's the reincarnated form of a warrior who fought along the Savior and doesn't realize it yet, but she senses something special about Usagi.

Pre-Existing CR: You can definitely know her through school, though she's shy and awkward so she won't really have been the talkative sort to your muse. She's secretly competitive so if someone challenged her mentally for top mark in class, she might be a bit more obsessive about them. She's VERY interested in enlightened, thinking herself ordinary in comparison. Also, as the daughter of a renowned medic, she runs more in the elite social circles, sometimes overlapping with nobles and the sort.

Blurb: He's an awkward, antisocial jerk that has a fairly tormented past but luckily doesn't remember most of it so it's generally a non-issue. He acts a lot like a grumpy old man when he isn't entertained or curious about something and likes to sit around and brood and make derisive comments about people and Pokémon he find less than agreeable (by his own standard). But if you happen to make him curious, a lot of that is bypassed, and he is up for chatting and (maybe) learning something new.

AU Info: Fenris is slowly becoming more curious about the people of Union and trying to figure out why humans are so much different from what he understands (what he understands being from his really vague memories of Gigas where he was a servitor and the notion that humans are all the same). While he used to only visit with Hawke or one of Hawke's puppy Pokémon, he likes wandering by himself more and is trying to test how far he can go with things (cheeky Zorua trickster things! ...in the near future) without being told off. So basically he's started playing a weird game of "test everyone's patience" to better understand the limits of normal people. AU Info: Umi is a resident of Caldera! She's been working at her parent's combined Martial Arts/Dancing dojo, which she's expected to inherit eventually. She's going to be a Water/Fighting Mastery of Training Enlightened.
