Brave New World OOC Comm

Logs will be posted midnight, January 21st. The next twenty four hours will be available for people to react and to specify if they have a preference for the log they take part in. Sign-ups will remain open until the groups are randomized tomorrow. You can find the available mission sign-ups in the comments on this post. Feel free to ask any questions you may have here.


The available missions will be as follows:

Evacuation: Groups taking part in evacuation will focus on saving trapped citizens, rescuing them, and getting them out of the line of fire.

Protection: Groups taking part in Protection will focus on defending the buildings and the people within them from Kyurem

Battle: Groups taking part in Battle will focus on fighting Kyurem and driving Sveta and her followers out of Union.


If you have no preference, you will be randomized between the three. The performance of all groups will determine the severity of the damage and the extent of the casualties at the end of th event.

Finally, with the gods coming to Union’s aid, they will all bestow a blessing upon the citizens of Union. The blessings will be active during the log, feel free to incorporate them into your posts and use them as you best see fit.

Entei and Moltres’ Blessing: A blessing of the ferocious flame, characters will have their attacks boosted and the power of their fire attacks boosted.

Articuno and Suicune’s Blessing: A blessing of the gentle waves and icy wind, characters will have a much-needed boost to their resistance to ice-based attacks. This is much needed against Kyurem, as it can avert a killing blow although taking hits from Kyurem is still highly inadvisable.

Zapdos and Raikou’s Blessing: A blessing of the flashing lightning, characters will have a boost to their speed and agility.

Darkrai’s Blessing: A blessing of the inky darkness, characters will have the ability to see humans obscured from their normal vision by perceiving their essence and the strength of their life force.

Cresselia’s Blessing: A blessing of the full moon, characters will have the ability to communicate telepathically with their allies and those in need.

??????????’s Blessing: A blessing from the two mysterious soaring dragons that have appeared in Union’s time of need, all characters will be blessed with a powerful wind that will make them feel light as a feather. Characters will have an enhanced ability to jump and fly, if applicable.

While the event has started, the core part of it will be somewhat different than the usual fare. This time we are not revealing the general details up front, they will be catalyzed by a big event that will occur in soon. This is a preliminary sign-up, if you want your character to take part in this event, please post here. The big difference is that we will be randomizing all sign-ups. Due to the sudden nature of the event, characters will not necessarily have the opportunity to form into organized groups. However, when signing up, if there is a single character your character spends a large amount of time with ICly, you may specify this there and we will randomize the characters as a duo.

There will be 3 different sections to additionally sign-up for when the event progresses, we will reveal them at the time the event progresses and allow for an additional 24 hours to pick where you want to go. If you do not pick, you will be randomized into all three of them. The event will involve a lot of danger and potential combat, and there is a risk for character injury. That said, the actions taken will have major effects on how well the event turns out. Finally, this event will be a game-wide event and will be difficult to ignore for any character - while you are not required to take part participation is highly encouraged!

Finally, it’s highly encouraged that characters interact with the available NPCs leading up to the event progression. They may have information that will be crucial to obtaining the best possible end for this event. The event will progress on Tuesday at midnight, and groups will be posted and the event logging will begin in earnest on Wednesday at midnight.
