Character Name: Pamela Isley | DC Animated Universe

AU Info: In BNW-verse, Pamela is a 19 year old noble from the affluent Isley family. She works as a researcher, specializing in plants and natural Pokemon evolutions. She cares about the environment and believes in making sure that scientific progress doesn't come at the expense of the natural habitat everyone must share.

Pre-Existing CR: If your character is a noble or a researcher, odds are that they may be acquainted. If your character knows Feliks, Fai, Yuui or Lenna, they also may have met Pamela at some point. If your character is an Engineer, they're probably familiar with the last name Isley, as Pamela's father is a high ranked Engineer. If your character works in a pricy clothing shop, they have probably helped Pamela and Feliks on one of their shopping sprees.

Looking for: Noble suitors between the ages of 16-25 (can be genuinely interested, awkward due to family members trying to play matchmaker, or possibly just trying to get family off their case and working out a mutual arrangement), bad influences who will push her toward more questionably ethical choices/encourage her to pursue power, people to teach her how to fight with a sword, young kids to bring out her maternal streak, noble friends/acquaintances, fellow researchers, people who care about the environment, people to go exploring with...gimme your CR.

Potential Connections: Is your character either a researcher or looking to get into research? Does your character care about the environment? These are both very good ways to connect with Pamela.

I have a couple of upcoming mini-plots (I meant to post these before). One will involve seeing what Unionites can do to help their Calderan allies with their crops and water supply in case Gigas comes back. The other will involve a cleaning up & beautification of Union project. So if your character would be interested in that, keep an eye out for those. Pamela will be making an announcement about them a little while after the current game plot wraps up. :)

Character Name: Yuuna Sugasawa

AU Info: Yuuna is a fairly easygoing young woman with a travel bug. She's not at all interested in staying in one place, and her heart is very much adventurous. She has a fairly relaxed nature in terms of how she interacts with other people, and she's very committed to uncovering more about the world and the world as it was. In a lot of ways she's very goofy, but Yuuna's serious side really comes out when there's danger or work to be done, particularly for the betterment of humanity. She's really creative as well, and loves to sketch or photograph things when she can.

Yuuna is both a (sometimes) volunteer at the medical facility and one of the instructors at a small martial arts school. During her school days, Yuuna was something of a floater, and an excellent student. Her teachers sort of humored her, and she ended up working almost all the way through programs for medical work and history...until she ended up getting bored and becoming a trainer. In a way, she sees working with Pokemon as a chance to do something good (and views her propensity for boredom as a massive character flaw), and after spending time getting ready has fairly recently started to go out and explore. Martial arts are one of her passions, and one of the few things she's managed to keep doing without getting bored.

She's still new to the game, about a month or so, but she's already gotten involved with the raid plot a bit and will likely keep sticking her nose into trouble. She'd mentioned to Banzu the idea of trying some sort of expedition out to see, and I've also toyed with the idea of her starting a kind of Explorer's League. It's a thought, and one I'd like to pursue, but she hasn't brought it up ICly.

Pre-Existing CR: Yuuna works with the doctors sometimes, using her medical training and not letting it go to waste, so if your character is involved with that then they may have met. Additionally, she's helped out at one of the school's dojo/gyms, so if your character is into fighting like that, or fitness classes, or stuff like that it's possible they've met? Or possible school friends, people who occasionally visit the bars, and maybe even fighter types who've seen her at local inter-dojo fighting tournaments or something?

Looking for: I'm looking for people who might be interested in doing long-distance trips outside Union, possibly for several days at a time and people who might be interested in a kind of explorer's support group. Fellow martial artists would be cool. And people who might be up for less serious things too. I'd really like for Yuuna to get a small CR circle who get exasperated with her, or who encourage her more wild tendencies. A night of ill-advised drunken revelry, stupid dares, that sort of thing.

Potential Connections: The medical center, martial arts gyms, around a decent but not exorbitantly expensive area of the Residential area, a favorite bar, these are all possibilities.

Other Info: Not really much to put here, Yuuna's a bit of a space case but means well.



Character Name: Rei Hino

AU Info:
This version is based on the manga incarnation, so she is not the boy crazy idol wannabe who constantly yells at everything and is instead a much quieter and more reserved girl with a hot temper. She might seem distant and cold at first but when she warms up to you then she may surprise you. The BNW AU for her parallels the other castmates here as well as canon. She is a partially awakened Enlightened of the fire and psychic types who lives in a small shrine to a flame deity with her grandfather. She is a Kindred Soul, and thanks to that and her strange powers and accurate fortunes, Rei has a reputation as a somewhat odd but lovely girl who has an easier time dealing with Pokemon than people. She is beautiful (as in canon) but not really interested in that sort of thing (again, parallel of canon), and at least in her local area she's got a reputation for being a somewhat creepy, icy young lady.

Rei's just begun taking an interest in being a Trainer, and has taken her first baby steps outside of Union. She's begun meeting her other castmates, but still remains unaware of the destiny that binds them all together. She is, like canon, unimpressed with men and finds it hard to trust them...but she'll warm up with time. Hopefully.

Pre-Existing CR: Rei is a little guarded around new people, and as such she doesn't go out much. Schoolmates are a possibility, as are people who are interested in religion/would frequent Hikawa Shrine where she lives/works with her grandpapa. Fellow channeler/shaman types are also possible connections. Or people who may have heard of her "reputation" as a gifted fortune teller.

Looking for: Well, non-castmate CR I don't have much of yet. Rei's very new to BNW, and as such has not met too many people. I'd love for her to have someone to go rant to and interact with, and I'd honestly like someone to try hitting on her and have that develop into some sort of weird CR that could go negative or positive. Also, basically? She's new! Give me CR!

Potential Connections: Well, Rei frequents her shrine, but isn't terribly sociable yet, and as such beyond the neighborhood around it? She doesn't go many places.

AU Info: Headlining actor for the Union Divine Theater and the Divine Defense Force's resident pain in Uranus. Usually found with at least three square inches of her body in contact with Michiru's, but that doesn't stop her from acting extremely....charming....around the other ladies in-game.

Pre-Existing CR: Other rich kids, but only distantly. If you're in the DDF or have hung around the theater before she has probably already played with you. Alternatively, people could have run into her while she was a professional Rhyhorn racer in the past.
Looking for: Anything! She tends to be insular during plots it's a Mission thing so I'd like her to build as much CR as possible outside of them.
Potential Connections: The Union Divine Theater, Rhyhorn racing. She's also a frequent patron of coffeeshops, the fancier the better.

Other Info: Not really? She can be a jerk. Also I love playing her Pokémon but if you tire of having them around let me know and I won't bring them into threads with you.

AU Info: BNW-verse Rei isn't terribly different from his canon incarnation-- he's the second son of a middle class family, and he lives for academics. Research is his game, but he's still very new to actually working with Pokemon....

It's nothing that a little research can't fix! (At least, in his opinion.)

Pre-Existing CR: Any and all academic sorts probably know Rei because of his constant presence and his stellar grades. Additionally, people familiar with any of the athletics in the city (particularly if they're familiar with anything that's track and field) would know him as well.


Looking for: I'm looking for any and all CR with Rei, particularly those who can push him out of his comfort zone, ruin his cool, or get him mixed up with the other Rei in town.

Also, he's gonna eventually need to learn how to handle himself properly in the wilderness one of these days. Oh, and swimming. He still doesn't know how to do that.

Potential Connections: When Rei isn't in class, he can generally be found hanging around the libraries doing ALL THE RESEARCH, around various coffee shops or pastry shops because he appreciates the refined atmosphere, or more recently he can be spotted hanging out around the Habitat to learn more about his new friends...

Other Info: Rei has actually been skipping class a lot lately. That is a huge red flag that something is up, since he's normally such a stellar student. Academic sorts, feel free to comment on that.

Character Name: Banzu | Original Character

AU Info: A teenage Engineer who avoids getting close to people and doesn't like to feel like he isn't earning his keep, both due to issues with his childhood that desperately need resolving. Currently the proud owner of the only boat in the game.

Pre-Existing CR: He's worked at the Laboratories for a couple of years at this point, and for the past six or seven years he's done engraving, repairs, and odd jobs, so anyone who may have worked with him or hired him could know of him.

Looking for: Characters who want to explore the seas, characters who are interested in seafaring, characters who want him to build stuff for them, clingy characters who want to be around him for some reason, I'm open to pretty much anything.

Potential Connections: Banzu isn't at the Laboratories as much as he used to be, but he frequents the Salvage Shop and of course he has the port and the Pathfinder. Really, if you want CR with him just have your character charter a ride to the island and we can work out something.

Other Info: I'd love for the port to take off and grow. Does your character want to build themselves a seaside home? A boat of their own to compete with Banzu's? A place to do mad science away from the rest of Union? I welcome any and all plots in and around the port (...so long as the port remains at least mostly intact afterwards). Also, I still want someone to suggest naming the port.


Character Name: Apollo | Genesis of Aquarion OVA

AU Info: A 14-year-old Ranger (yes he's a kid even though he looks and acts older; the OVA is hard to get good icons from okay) who just wants humans and Pokémon to get along with each other. He's also a reincarnation of a Pokémon from the time of the Savior, though he doesn't know that yet.

Pre-Existing CR: He's been a Ranger for around three years now; a Ranger that young tends to attract notice, plus there's the general coworker stuff. Also, other reincarnations.

Looking for: Anything. He's getting more and more interested in exploration, but he also connects to Pokémon easier than humans so he needs more human interaction.

Potential Connections: The Outpost, but he can also be found out in the field a lot, doing Ranger stuff.

Blurb: A reformed mad scientist now serving in the Rangers. Playful and (somewhat sadistically) teasing on the outside, extremely detached on the inside. Emotions what are they?

He usually doesn't appear concerned about anything, but in serious-serious situations his whole demeanour changes: he's scarily cold and practical, and would happily use extreme methods to take care of things.

AU Info: He was originally a scientist working on Pokemon research and weaponry development. Around 10 years ago, he suddenly quit and joined the Rangers, and rose up through their ranks to become a senior member of the Survey Corps.

He's also part of the prestigious Curtiss Ranger family, which has some ties to minor nobility through marriages and alliances. They're quite devout, although Jade doesn't share those views.

Currently he's decided to undertake some (possibly illegal) research on Enlightened along with William Flemming.

Pre-Existing CR: Rangers! Researchers who were around when he was still doing his thing! He's also found not infrequently in bars/the library/the university, so there might be opportunities there too.

Looking for: I'd really like to continue developing his existing CR! I'd also like for him to make more connections with other Rangers. New CR would be loved! It doesn't necessarily have to be positive - he can be quite mocking so there's potential for friction. Just let me know if you want CR with him and we can brainstorm a scenario together!

I'd especially love someone he can be friends with; someone who won't mind him poking fun at them, and would maybe work with him to tease other people too!

Potential Connections: See pre-existing CR. Also, since he's looking into Enlightened now, he'll probably be watching Enlightened train and noting down their abilities, and maybe approaching them to ask them some questions!

In both, cheerful, impulsive, sort of lazy, awkward as Hell with strangers, and ultimately completely indomitable. Dislikes bullies and being told what to do. Loves ponies.

AU Info: AU!Feliks's greatest hits include:
-Catfighting with a baby Pokémon
-Attending school until sometime last year, during which time he mostly actually avoided doing work as much as possible, and spaced out a lot, and sometimes got into fights with bullies (pre-game)
-Entering the tournament held by Team Evolution, advancing to the finals, and getting his ass handed to him by Rory and the newly revealed (like right at that moment) power of Mega-Evolution.
-Throwing a big party to celebrate the above, and also his first evolution. And also, quite probably, for his grandparents to look for a wife for him.
-Being somehow embroiled in all the drama of Lux and Fai's breakup. Anyone who follows noble gossip may have connected the whispers of Feliks's disinterest in girls (as more than best friends and shopping buddies), his closeness with Fai, the breakup, and how much Fai's uncle suddenly hates the Łukasiewicz family?
-Going on the mission to Caldera. Skipping out on the diplomatic delegation to mess with the siege troops instead, because what is self control? (Boring. Boring is what it is.)
-Recently, trying to get a cavalry of some sort organized!
-He's also made appearances in many noble parties and game-wide events!

Pre-Existing CR: Old classmates? Old bullies? Noble girls whose families might occasionally awkwardly try to set them up together?
Looking for: All of it! But I'd be especially happy for negative CR -- sensible types for him to drive up a wall, manipulative types to push his buttons, present or previous bullies? Nobles with a sense of self-importance?
Potential Connections: Feliks spends a lot of time in the fashion areas of the shopping district, occasionally drops by the bar for drinks, and spends the majority of the rest of his time either training near Union or out Adventuring. He's also known to get dragged to attend various noble parties and events!

Pre-Existing CR: Nobles may have met him or at least heard of him. They'd also know that his father is a living legend among Rangers -- which is something his fellow Rangers would also be privy to.
Looking for: Just more friends to make in general. I'd also like to get some kind of romantic subplot going, whether it's an arranged marriage or something that develops organically.

Blurb: Allelujah is a Gundam Meister for Celestial Being, a private armed organization whose goal is the eradication of war. Before that, he was subject to an experimental super soldier program before escaping. He's a nice guy who believes in his cause and will go out of his way to help people in need. However, he also has a second personality -- Hallelujah, a bloodthirsty psychopath whose greatest concern is his own survival.

AU Info: My current plan is for him to be a Calderan citizen who previously escaped the augmentation program from Gigas. Other than that, I have no plans, and am open to making more.

Pre-Existing CR: Any other characters who may have been involved in the same program may know him. However, he escaped somewhere between ten and fifteen years ago, so keep that in mind. Other Calderans may have seen him around, though he mostly keeps to himself.
Looking for: Anything and everything! In particular he'll get along well with anybody with a taste for fine wine.
Potential Connections: Again, some Calderans may know him, as well as other Gigas expatriates.

Other Info: As mentioned before, he has an extremely violent second personality. However, Hallelujah only surfaces whenever Allelujah is in mortal peril.

Character Name: Jinxie Tenma
Blurb: A superstitious and somewhat socially awkward girl with spiritual powers. Related to the Fey family of spirit mediums.

AU Info: In this AU, there was no murder case, and Jinxie lives in a neighborhood full of Ghost/Psychic/Dark type Pokemon and Enlightened called Ninetales Vale located in the northwest corner of Union along the wall. It has a reputation for being haunted and creepy. Jinxie herself is a Ghost/Psychic type Enlightened known for creating mystical charms, and seems to have an almost reverential fixation on Ninetales.

Pre-Existing CR: The Fey family is fairly extensive, so it's possible characters with the appropriate typing or spiritual proclivities might be related to Jinxie in some way. Characters who are into occult type stuff as a hobby or a profession may also know her.
Looking for: As said above, more family members are always welcome. She's already related to Maya Fey and Nozomi Toujou.
Potential Connections: She helps out at Kurain Manor, teaching people about Pokemon bonding and battling with Ghost types. You may also have bought charms from her at some point.

Other Info: For those familiar with her source canon, in this AU Honchkrow has taken the place of Tenma Taro in the Tenma family's legends. I'd love for someone with a Murkrow they're looking to evolve either have it happen in front of Jinxie or for them to be innocently showing it off and set off the most horrible fit of paranoid terror Jinxie has had in her entire life.

Character Name: Squid Girl
Blurb: A hopelessly dumb Inkay shifter with delusions of grandeur.

AU Info: Squid Girl's AU is almost exactly the same as her original canon - she was an Inkay swimming around in the ocean when she floated into some trash, got angry enough to awaken Shifter powers to take human form, and hauled herself onto land to give whatever humans she could find a piece of her mind. She found Union first, yelled loudly about how she and the water Pokemon were going to 'inkvade,' was taken seriously at first because of the cataclysm, but then ignored after everyone realized she was just dumb and angry. Now she just lives in Union, raising a ruckus and making a spectacle of herself.

Pre-Existing CR: Other ocean-dwelling Shifters? That's probably the most likely. Or anyone who has or had a lot to do with the ocean in one way or another. She's only been in Union for about two years, so that's the likeliest avenue for pre-existing stuff.
Looking for: Squid Girl's two favorite kinds of people are: 1) people who humor her stupidity, and 2) people who take it utterly seriously and are genuinely afraid of her. Although some rivals would also be great, either in terms of freshwater vs. saltwater or my all-time dream of a Carvanha Shifter she can be completely terrified of.
Potential Connections: She hangs out on the beach, in the ocean itself, and on the tropical island a fair bit, but can be found all over Union as well.

Character Name: Chie Satonaka
Blurb: An energetic girl who loves martial arts and eating meat.

AU Info: Obviously I've taken out all the murder stuff from Chie's background for this AU, and due to the generally more egalitarian nature of Union society and the absence of a Yukiko stand-in, she didn't grow up with the same complexes she had in her original game. Instead, her inferiority complex has been replaced with a tendency for hero worship, and I've mirrored her post-canon desire to become a police officer with joining the Swords of the Savior. So this Chie is more self-confident, but also prone to place other people she respects on ridiculous pedestals.

Pre-Existing CR: She's graduated from school by now, but anyone she might have known in classes is fair game. Also other martial arts enthusiasts and other new-ish members of the Swords of the Savior.
Looking for: Pretty much everything, really. Friends, training partners, potential love interests (requited or not), whatever.
Potential Connections: Chie's a new member of the Swords of the Savior, having been accepted officially shortly after the Caldera event. Current members will probably know her as an over-energetic new recruit who's always looking to get involved.

Blurb: Socially awkward but adorable not!elf girl with a mysterious past.

AU Info: Merrill is still a member of a wandering clan of people, but instead of elves it's just other humans. They lost their homeland a long time ago when the ancestors of Gigas invaded, settled elsewhere after a few hundred years, and then lost that homeland too when the Pokemon rose up. Merrill is searching for her peoples' lost history, and made a blood bond with an imprisoned Spiritomb who claimed to have been around a thousand years ago when her people lost their first home. She was kicked out of her clan for messing with a dangerous Pokemon that was sealed away for a good reason, and now she's in Union trying to carry on with her personal goals. Currently, she's working on freeing the Spiritomb in exchange for what it knows. Spoilers: it's lying to her, but she's going to free it anyway.

Pre-Existing CR: Merrill only came to Union a short while ago, so there's probably not much opportunity for this unless they were also from her clan.
Looking for: People to find out what she's about to do with that Spiritomb who will feel ways about it. I'm equally interested in people condemning her choice as well as people who will validate it. She's going to unseal it when she hits level 30 and evolves, so there may not be a lot of time for this, but there will definitely be chances for people to meet the horrifying nightmare-devouring monster she unseals after she does so.
Potential Connections: Merrill can be found wandering lost through the streets of Union quite often, as she has a terrible sense of direction if no one is helping her. She ends up in lots of places she isn't supposed to be because she has no sense of boundaries. Other than that, she spends a fair amount of time in the library researching ancient civilizations and also at the medical center learning about herbal medicine.

Blurb: Kind-hearted daughter of the Tycoon noble family, currently looking for her missing father.

AU Info: Instead of a princess, Lenna is the daughter of Councilman Alexander Highwind Tycoon. It's been a few months and he hasn't been heard of, so Lenna went looking, but only found his Dragonite. She came back with heavy injuries and its egg, but hasn't given up on trying to find him.

Pre-Existing CR: Obviously, other nobles would have the easiest time with this. The Tycoon family is well-known and well-respected, and has been involved in Union politics in one way or another for generations. Since Lenna advocates for the poor, people on the lower rungs of the social ladder may also know her as a noble who actually cares about their plight. And since her father was a member of the Rangers and all-around good guy and strong combatant in his younger days, anyone in that organization may know the name Tycoon in that context (or possibly have parents who served with him before he retired from his post to pursue politics instead).
Looking for: People to encourage Lenna's naivete and recklessness, people to discourage the same, potential noble suitors who recognize a chance now that Lenna's father is gone and she's the only one carrying the Tycoon name, childhood friends, recently returned long lost pirate sisters
Potential Connections: Lenna lives in the fancy rich people section of town, so other nobles or characters from wealthy backgrounds would probably have seen her around. The Rangers thing mentioned above could also provide an avenue for some CR if they know her father's reputation. Or maybe your character is someone she's helped with her various philanthropic efforts to aid the less fortunate of Union (think soup kitchens, food and clothing drives, homeless shelters, those sorts of community projects).
