Character Name: Squid Girl
Blurb: A hopelessly dumb Inkay shifter with delusions of grandeur.

AU Info: Squid Girl's AU is almost exactly the same as her original canon - she was an Inkay swimming around in the ocean when she floated into some trash, got angry enough to awaken Shifter powers to take human form, and hauled herself onto land to give whatever humans she could find a piece of her mind. She found Union first, yelled loudly about how she and the water Pokemon were going to 'inkvade,' was taken seriously at first because of the cataclysm, but then ignored after everyone realized she was just dumb and angry. Now she just lives in Union, raising a ruckus and making a spectacle of herself.

Pre-Existing CR: Other ocean-dwelling Shifters? That's probably the most likely. Or anyone who has or had a lot to do with the ocean in one way or another. She's only been in Union for about two years, so that's the likeliest avenue for pre-existing stuff.
Looking for: Squid Girl's two favorite kinds of people are: 1) people who humor her stupidity, and 2) people who take it utterly seriously and are genuinely afraid of her. Although some rivals would also be great, either in terms of freshwater vs. saltwater or my all-time dream of a Carvanha Shifter she can be completely terrified of.
Potential Connections: She hangs out on the beach, in the ocean itself, and on the tropical island a fair bit, but can be found all over Union as well.

Other Info: Nothing that springs to mind.

And I'm just going to reply here in addition to Chie (even though Yuuna's already met Merrill)

Either one of my girls would prooobably eventually find their way down to the beach or island, and Yuuna would be happy to humor Squid Girl's shenanigans (and maybe use her to play pranks), while Rei would be silently freaked out by her. Especially if ink was sprayed her way.

Squid Girl loves pranks, so that could definitely work. And some ink can be arranged too, though mostly she does that when she's either feeling threatened or is caught off guard. Alternatively, if Rei pisses her off.

I will just consolidate all this into one thread. For Chie, we can figure something out, I'll probably be posting later on this week.

And Squid Girl? They just need to find someone to prank. But I'm thinking Yuuna will drift out to the island in the next couple of weeks once Bergmite evolves and she feels comfortable riding an aircraft carrier around. So, could be beach times to meet?

And Rei I think will be participating in a SM cast beach episode. And Rei is entirely capable of pissing people off so maybe that can happen sometime soon. Or she can startle Squid Girl somehow. Either way tentacles are scary.

Beach time works for me. Squid Girl can easily get to the island on her own anytime she wants, so no particular planning is needed there.

Ditto on the beach episode stuff. It's easy to get Squid Girl riled up, so this one is a no-brainer.

Not sure either. I'm still trying to puzzle out her feelings about the boat. It's steam powered, right? So pollution shouldn't be an issue at least.

Water pollution at least. I still haven't decided is the toilet has a holding tank or not, but either way that's something that would naturally end up in the water anyways so it shouldn't be an issue.

The boat is faster than her, if that would be an issue.

Yeah, I could see her getting upset about that. She can swim to the island on her own anyway, so she probably wouldn't ride the boat in the first place.

I MISS TAGGING SQUID GIRL, and also I have plans for a mudkip shifter for fresh vs salt rivalry, but I can't app him until I make him icons orz (making OCs is hard)
