A city besieged - OOC
Now that the Advance Party has reached Caldera, a Waypoint has been established. Characters can now travel instantaneously to Caldera. However, the Waypoint can only send a few people at a time. Using the Waypoint uses a great deal of power, and it cannot be activated again for an hour or so. ICly, this means that your characters are free to move between the cities at will, but due to the limitations you can’t really abuse it to move large amounts of people.
As of now, the Advance Party sign-ups are now closed. The city of Caldera, as well as the Western Desert and the Flower Grove are open to all players for bonding. Those bonding requests that were held will be processed shortly.
As mentioned in the IC post, the General has some ideas of how to repel the forces. For the next few days, players will have the ability to gather information from Caldera natives and plan their next moves. Expect a few more NPCs to surface in the next few days! Using this information, you may plot out what you want to do. As you may recall, you were recently given the opportunity to sign-up for Aggression or Diplomacy, here is where you will have the opportunity to plan and solidify groups. In order to ensure speedy log progress when we get underway, please break into smaller groups of no more than 4 characters. We will ensure there are scenarios for all smaller groups to take part in.
This OOC post may be used to solidify group plans, general sign-ups for the logs can be found here
Edit: Players are highly encouraged to be creative in their solutions, be it working within the presented framework or going off the rails and coming up with their own solutions! Those who really go above and beyond and come up with interesting ideas may draw the attention of something that will lead to interesting things down the line!

Questions
General Plotting

Jayce will either be helping the refugees in Union or making an effort to solve the situation diplomatically. I'm also open to putting him in a group.
Sanageyama will be supporting Satsuki in whatever role she sees fit to get involved with. HOWEVER! I'd also like to get him into a situation (ideally a fight) where he's soundly beaten by taking away his strongest weapon -- his eyesight. This will be necessary to trigger his evolution. If I can't get it during the event, that's also fine, since I can afford to wait a bit longer for it.
Re: General Plotting
Otherwise Sync's doing the aggression route, he'll also be having a talk with his uncle. I am up for additional plottings.

Just a thought probably not feesible or adviseable.

The idea came at work when I was thinking about the Earthkin and such, as a lot of the problem seems the Calderan forces seem pinned because they keep having to shore up the iron walls because of the artillery, the idea came that a mult-pronged attack would be effective in allowing the diplomacy team success.
The idea is to burrow deeply, making a trench for their artillery line and around their camp as a pitfall when they scrambled to regain the advantage. I can't say how well it would work without a lot of knowledge. Another option is tunneling to get the refugees to a safer place for escort. Another part of the multiprong attack would be crippling Gigas' supply line at the same time so they no long have anything coming that they really needed right after the potential of the trench. Ideally the best plan is to dig, wait for them to align their artillery, and detonate an incindary device to collaspe the tunnel, and again for the one around their camp when they attempt to leave it. This would allow the Calderan forces to better keep Gigas' forces more managable, allowing them and Union to fight on their terms rather than being overwhelmed, and with the Earthkin no longer having to worry almost solely about fixing the wall, that's just more people able to fight.
This being where the diplomacy team basically calls for Gigas to surrender and go the hell home before they collapse the camp. (that one would be doable, but bluffing it would be easier, also another strategy would be making only one path Gigas can safely move through, essentially bottlenecking them and not allowing them to sweep over Caldera and Union's combined forces because they can only get so many through the narrow path.)
Gimme some input, ways to improve, etc.

Agression Group #3
Since he isn't a tank, he'd prefer either a group that can be subtle, or at least one tank to support him. IF you want in LoL terms he's an assassin so if he's cornered it'll be a quick end.
Also the idea occurs that since he can Mimic a little too well, do we want to talk about infiltrating their giant camp?

Aggression Group #5?
Because Feliks is too much of a loose cannon to not fuck up being on diplomacy, anyway.Team Frankly Kind of Foolhardy? I'm thinking of having him try and distract a siege engine's guards with a combination of status effect-y stuff, shiny Fairy stuff, and generally being flashy and obnoxious, then put fire to a siege engine if he can manage it. I know I'm like a week late with Starbucks, but would any other latecomers be interested?
