Levi here with a 4th character, and not one I'd originally planned to app here! Welcome Mei Misaki from the horror light novel/anime Another. She's quiet, somewhat creepy and depressing, and can see dead people.

In BNW, she's less depressing and happier than in canon because yay, her sister didn't fall victim to a curse. However, she still has family issues. She retains her false eye like in canon too, except than instead of just seeing the color of death, she can see a unique color that shows off the type of whomever it surrounds. Like fire might look like a burning ember-ish color or something for example. But yeah, she can also see dead people.

She's still a student, and she lives upstairs from a kind of creepy doll shop/gallery that her mother and grandmother run located in Ninetales Vale. So fellow students, and residents of Ninetales Vale can certainly have existing CR with her!

Well, Maya's the leader of the Kurain Channelling school, and so is... influentialish there, and can probably help with some of Mei's lessons.

Or, Mei can just know her for all the pranks she pulls, I'm not picky. Either way, Maya's been there her whole life, so it's likely they've met!

I don't know much of anything about the school. Would she have to be Enlightened to enroll?

Whatever the case, it's more likely than not Mei's at least seen her around and probably talked to her on more than one occasion. She may not be a social butterfly, but she isn't unfriendly.

Up until this year, she'd have had to be specifically a Kurain Chaneller, but Maya recently opened up the school to anyone wanting to learn more about ghost or psychic types/pokemon.

And yeah, Maya's a big social prankster butterfly (though she doesn't really use her tricks on girls, she's nice) so it's likely they've at least said hi a few times

So we'll go with they're friendly to eachother, but not super close?
