Makoto's still in school, and she's the quiet, super scary girl no one wants to talk to because she kind of gets into fights pretty regularly. She's (not so) secretly a super sweetie who adores cute things, though. Clearly some sort of friendship is in order here!

Haha, yes! Kanji's been scaring the heck out of some of his non-Trainer/Enlightened classmates all along, and it got worse a few months back when he evolved: he could definitely use a buddy there. Trainer and outside of school friends are nice, but... :)

Makoto will totally be his friend! No more solitary lunches at school, and they can hang out together on weekends - she can bake while he sews.

Do you want to work out some pre-established CR, or throw them together for the first time and thread an intro, or...something else?

Aaaa, agreed. Now, what sort of scenario can we throw them at? Lunchtime at school? Emergency craft store run? Pokemon shennanigans in the park somewhere? Something else?

Kind of fancy something to start off with that doesn't revolve around purely Pokémon stuff, perhaps? Hmm. Got plenty of time to compare critters, after all.

That's totally doable. So lunch or craft store run are both options, or if Kanji needs flowers for some reason, Makoto works part time in a flower shop. Or is there somewhere job-like she could potentially pester him? or does he need someone to step in and save him from bullies?

He doesn't have a job apart from Training or work at the store. So - hehe, maybe a straightforward lunch setup?
