Hello! Finishing the trio of related introductions, I'm Tonake and I'm bringing you this nerd here!

Atsuro is an enthusiastic, science-oriented youth and a double little brother figure to Mari and Kaido. He spends a lot of time trying to learn as much as he can about things that interest him (of which there are plenty, from history to cooking in field conditions to physical training to Pokemon behavior to, most of all, technology). He also spends a lot of time discreetly keeping an eye on Kaido, being of the (not-so-baseless) belief that the guy would get into too much trouble otherwise.

He's surprisingly easy-going and probably likely to make friends with almost anyone. You can also expect him to jump up at about any opportunity to be of use to other people (from helping find a lost Pokemon to going scouting in Old City, or outside Union). He talks a lot, manages to turn about anything into a conversation about his interests (of which there are, once again, plenty), and can jump from topic to topic to topic into eternity. People who know him quickly learn that if you don't shut him up, he's completely capable of going on forever, feeding off his own contribution to the conversation.

I go by Wighty and I play Lucas here from Mother 3! It's really exciting to see a DS cast and especially exciting to see Atsuro, aha; I actually play him in a different game! Thanks a bunch! Also oh, I might have seen you on Holo's plurk at one point, I think. I hope I don't disappoint you with my Atsuro. I'm really excited to start playing him too! And honestly, I didn't even think DeSu was popular enough for other people to recognize the characters. Also hmm, I don't think I have any questions yet, although I'm sure I'll end up with at least ten questions once I actually start playing. I'll be sure to ask then! As for the event, I think we're going to participate as our whole small group of three players? It was Kaido's player's idea, so they're kinda in charge of us.

Anyway, hello and welcome! I'm LD and I play Flynn from Shin Megami Tensei IV.

Yeah! I see we have a few Persona people, too (I'm surprised there are so few people from P4, though. I thought it was basically the synonym of SMT fandom). I think it would be fun to have more characters from SMT, seeing as the game itself draws some of the inspiration from the series. Wish I could say I've played more of them, but as with about every other game I play most of my SMT record consists of "played for several days, got distracted by another game, left it lying for like half a year".

Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing with you if we ever cross paths in-game! From what little I know of SMT IV, Atsuro's path in DeSu is relatively close to IV's neutral path, so... perhaps there'll be some bonding points for the two of them.

Hi I'm Charles I play Melaka I'm replying to these because I liked Devil Survivor quite a bit until the damn bug Bel was too hard for me and I got stuck for months until I gave up.

Hahaha I know the feeling! Quite a few battles in DeSu are /really/ frustrating and I remember crying over it a lot because I'm a loser. And the most frustrating part is that grinding as such doesn't help all that much, it's more about how you plan the fight and what strategy you choose. Sometimes it's even better to play a battle without much preparation just to see how things would go and then reload and play again with that knowledge. But yeah, DeSu can be stupidly hard and I understand your frustration with it.

At least new game+ is pretty much completely broken (at least in the original) and you can speed through other routes with ease. It's quite satisfying to kick ass of anyone who gave you trouble on your first playthrough

Heyo. I'm Badge. I also play a nerd. Although I play a very PTSDed nerd who could probably use another nerd to force the issue of being a friend with him or something. Sadly, I could not think of a Pokemon big, blue and malicious enough to use as a substitute.

Ohhhhh my god. Oh my GOD

I'm really looking forward to playing with you too!! Pardon my reaction, I never thought anyone would play a character from Ao Oni (plus I have a lot of, er, 'fond' memories of the game). Once I replaced the Oni chase music with yakety sax like the huge loser I am and STILL was completely terrified.

As for the Pokemon, what about like... Poliwrath?? Machamp? Machamp isnt strictly blue but close enough, plus I think they're both supposed to be kinda vicious (and are vaguely humanoid). Some kind of freak Snorlax who's overly territorial and hungry??

Anyway, I'm sure it'll be fun to play together! Atsuro is probably exactly the kind of friend Hiroshi could do with (or, at least, the kind of loud enthusiastic nerd hanging around him Hiroshi could do with). Plus, Atsuro likes taking care of people so if they ever meet and Atsuro eventually figures out/finds out what's happened, he'll try to keep an eye on Hiroshi to make sure he's doing okay.

Yesssss, recognition. Although to be honest, I still don't know how it happened considering I've only ever watched playthroughs and even then I could tell it was, uh, not the most QUALITY game. I think the fact the nerd was the sole survivor helped.

(I'd say nobody else plays from that game, but I know there's someone who RPs a character from the 1.0 version for some reason.)

Well yeah, it's not exactly ~quality~ but there's still... something about it. God, I remember how I laughed about the Onis at first (haha look at that, that's just some really awful photoshop job, how can THAT be scary) but once I started playing it. Really was scary. I FELT BOTH RIDICULOUS AND TERRIFIED it's probably the "being chased" factor that made it more scary? I've had a lot of nightmares about this kind of thing (for different reasons though), so it kinda hit close to home. Anyway the game was both ridiculous and stupidly enjoyable in some way (but also frustrating. GOD, some of the puzzles)

And tbh I was more expecting to someone from the NPCs? Like... I don't know, Takeshi maybe. Or Mika trying to be no-nonsense about things... Though I guess it makes sense no one's playing them (because they're DEAAAAD).

Also heh, Atsuro can pretty much make friends with people without them actually being friendly to him, so it's not that much of a problem. Also he canonly has a friend who's somewhat of a guilt-issues-ridden megane nerd, so like. He has Experience with this kind of thing. Also, they match - Atsuro has a nerd white hat, Hiroshi has a nerd white scarf. It's totally destiny.
