UPCOMING EVENTS AND HOLIDAYS
The following will be taking place over the month of August only, and may or may not be accompanied with a mod-run log. These include game-wide events, player plots and holidays celebrated around the map. Participation is encouraged but by no means required.

World Fair
9/18-9/24
Due to the wild popularity of last year’s showcase, Union’s council has decided to extend the invitation for the city’s allies to come and showcase the creations of their best and brightest while enjoying their time in the newly rebuilt city. Fascinating inventions and delicious smells will once more fill Union’s streets, but the volunteers need time to prepare the showcase as well. Players are welcome to incorporate preparations in their posts, for it is an affair that the whole of Union has been waiting for!

Tenebris and Lumens
9/18; 9/25-10/1

The rebuilding of Union pushed the World Fair’s schedule to coincide with Sanctuary’s traditional New Year’s celebration this year. Coinciding with the Autumnal Equinox, Tenebris is the solemn remembrance of the Cataclysm the world survived 500 years ago. Lumens, which occurs at the month’s end, is the Festival of Lights that celebrates the founding of Sanctuary and how it spread the light of Knowledge throughout the world. Do visit, Union-- but be careful. Magi students going on break can be a wild bunch!

ONGOING EVENTS
These mini events have no active expiration date, and will continue until they are resolved, and may or may not have a lasting impact on the game as a whole. These mini-events can be initiated by any players in the game through a plot request (submitted here), and may garner the attention of an event-specific NPC, so be on guard!

WAR RECOVERY
The recovery and release of the Gigases and the ousting of the Emperor has opened a new chapter in the relations between Gigas and the Union Alliance, but the taste of war doesn’t fade so quickly. Players are encouraged to explore the aftermath of the war and the subsequent recovery efforts into their posts.

MAP EXPAND
With the recent signal expansion, there are still many areas yet to be explored! Trainers seeking new discoveries or experiences are encouraged to check them out!

CURRENT AREAS UNEXPLORED: Frozen Delta, Western Coast

SWARM WATCH!
A swarm will appear in a location for two weeks. Pokémon in a swarm act as an Ultra Common to that area and scale with their level. Requests for a swarm Pokémon can be made in the Map Post for that particular week. Players are not required to make a post in the swarm area, but are highly encouraged. Shiny chaining does apply to swarms, and works the same way as in other areas. Swarm Pokémon are not eligible for blurbs and will follow the general behavior provided.

RUFFLET | UNION
Level 15
Trainers encountering these Rufflets that are swarming Union will find them to be the fiercely devoted sort, for these birds spout phrases like “Make Union Great Again” the moment they open their beaks. Incidentally, they aren’t always dedicated to Union. Odd birds out have their loyalties with the likes of Caldera, Citadel, Glacier, or even Gigas! Debates between opposing parties are enough to ruffle anyone’s feathers!

MACHOKE | COASTAL VALLEY
Level 15
After spending all summer working on their glorious bods next to the sea and the sun, these Machokes are excited to show off the muscles they’ve grown for all of the travellers headed towards the World Fair! Trainers encountering them will find the Machokes to be overly friendly and eager to help with any lifting and carrying they need-- although, these guys will be doing so in ways that let them work it for everyone to see. Striking poses at random and showing off their guns isn’t beyond them, and they will be delighted to help their trainers in starting a new workout program!
