+1 super-powered idol

Hello, everyone! I'm Ric, and while I had a brief stint here once before, today I bring you someone entirely new, Sonia Strumm from MegaMan Star Force (and yes, Amber is entirely to blame for this)! Sonia is a super popular teen idol and is pretty much everything you'd expect her to be: friendly, energetic, and relentlessly upbeat. Deep down beneath all that is a different story, though — between watching her mother pass away from illness and being treated as a tool to make her slimeball manager money, she's actually pretty depressed. Idols don't have it easy, man.

OH BOY this isn't familiar at all.

I'm not sure if you're up on the fad canons from 2008, but Rise here has a not-dissimilar background (although, thankfully, her manager turned out to be a bro and her parents are never mentioned) that got translated into being an ex-radio star in this game. She's been out of the idol game herself for about two years now, but she's more than happy to help out anyone else dealing with that life and the ensuing emotional problems.

Haha, not to worry, I know all about the purse owners (though I'll confess I'm not quite up to speed on their more recent escapades). And I would love to see CR with these two! Sonia could really benefit from the support of someone who understands the place she's in.

If you want to establish anything about Union's pop culture and performance industries I'm here to bounce ideas off of - I mostly haven't with Rise other than generalities because other stuff has been more relevant, but my plurk's Nerdorama and I'm gonna go friend you now.
