Feedback and Input, Round 4!

Hey BNW fans! Since it's been a few months since we've asked for feedback and since we've wrapped up another major plot event, we'd like to set a few moments aside for some dialogue with you guys! We have a few major topics we'd like to request input about today, but feel free to chime in with whatever's on your mind, too!

Event Feedback
We'd like to ask for comments or concerns about this last event! There were a few experimental portions; this was the first time we asked Helpers to run things for us (thanks again, Brantron and Ax!) as well as the first time the outcome was 100% based on player actions! Additionally, the portion with the feedback from Union was brand new as well, as we wanted to give an option for participation for people staying in the city. Please let us know how you felt about these aspects of the event as well as anything else you'd like to comment on!

Union Vs. ?
Something that we've begun to realize is that our plotlines are essentially split two ways: man vs. confrontation with legendaries and man vs. man. While we have some major plot ideas set already, there's a lot of leeway in how we can execute them. We'd like to ask whether you guys have any preference for legendary-centered plots (like the Dream World with Darkrai and Cresselia) or human conflict centered plots (like this last event) and what interests you most. Of course, both types of plot will still happen, but we can definitely lean one way or the other.

We'll also listen to suggestions for future events!

Anything Else
Anything else you'd like to see in the game? Anything about the game you dislike and feel could be improved? Anything about the game you love? Feel free to chime in!

This post will be open to anonymous comments. However, we cannot screen the post as anonymous commenters would then not be able to see our responses to them.

I really enjoyed this last event! It was great to have a wide variety of characters with fleshed-out personalities for the groups to interact with - this was the first event since Caldera where I ended up stalking everybody's portions of the plot log because I wanted to find out what would happen next. So for the events where humans are the opponents, etc, I thought this system worked well. Same with having a home base at Union - it made the event feel more cohesive, like all of this was "really happening".

Re: the people/legendaries divide, I like both halves and it seems to me like one leads naturally to the other? The more humans make war/peace/negotiations/snarky comments at each other, that all impacts what the gods do next. So I guess my vote goes towards legendary events sparked by human events. There's been a good balance so far between "talking" events and "fighting" events, too, which is also nice.

I don't think I really have much more to add here aside from THANK YOU to mods and helpers for this past event! A lot of hard work clearly went into it and from where I'm standing, it paid off. :)

I really liked how the "mission command" center at Union worked -- I think it created a good way for characters who are less inclined to charge out and meet things head-on to be involved in the plot! I'd like to see something like that in future events, I think (even though my only character here is very head-on)!

As for man vs. man or man vs. god, I like the idea of... the former sort of leading to the latter? There are obvious cultural differences in how the "gods" are seen, and I think it would be interesting to see Union struggling with the other cultures while trying to maintain peace with the gods whether the others make it easy or not.

I missed that last event and while I can't wait for the next one, that does mean my feed back is limited.

That said, it should come as a surprise to no one that I would prefer to have more humans as adversaries than Pokemon.
