+1 Super High School Level Mechanic
HERE I AM it's Luciano (player of Maya Fey) here with a new second, Kazuichi Souda from Super Dangan Ronpa 2!
He's joining Hajime Hinata and Junko Enoshima (along with Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu) this week and he is gonna be so much fun, I promise.
Kazuichi is a mechanic and a mawile shifter, but not an engineer! He's just a freakishly talented mechanic who claims he can fix almost anything. His starter, a Houndoom named Belaire, is a 3-legged pokémon and Kazuichi has developed a working, moving prosthetic for her. He'll be available to fix bikes, wagons, carts-- any kind of vehicle that exists in Union, and some other tech too (got a broken clock? He might be able to fix it up!) but he'll also be developing more and more prosthetics. SO if that's something you want to play with, you can consult Iron Head Repair in the business district!
Here's Kazuichi's AU Planning post! You can catch me on AIM at

> Engineer who has built a vehicle
I think there's a good opportunity for CR here. With Banzu's background of hanging around repair shops when he was younger, they might even have met in the past.

Past CR would be great. You have any ideas in particular?

Hm. Well, after his mother died when he was 10 (so around 7 years ago), he started trying to work instead of just sit back and let the orphanage take care of him. He didn't end up with any real jobs until he was 15, because child, but he had some odd jobs in that time, probably starting with sorting scrap and one-off repairs and stuff like that for whichever shops needed him on any particular day. He did (and to a lesser extent, still does) custom engraving for people too. They could've met at any time in there. Or he could've worked at the Souda shop for a few months when he was 15, before being recruited to work at the Laboratories, in which case Kazuichi would have learned that the kid they hired was hiding being Enlightened (ability to manipulate metal as if it's clay) and was then hired out from under them by someone else.
Take your pick I guess?

Kazuichi's gonna be around 19ish I think-- and I'm assuming Banzu's older, right? It's also possible Kazuichi would look up to him. It'd be pretty dang cool to get these guys working together on things.

And finding a half-decent non-white-non-black PB is hard enough as it is without being picky about age. Seriously, no one makes icons of middle eastern people it seems. He's also not the genius that Kazuichi is, he's just really talented. He'd try and dampen down that tension somewhat if possible - referring people there if he couldn't help them and such - but only for the sake of making sure he has a good professional reputation, not because he actually cares if Dad-Souda likes him personally. He can be friendly but he's not interested in being friends with anyone. A one-sided relationship like that seems to be in line with a lot of Kazuichi's relationships, really. Banzu wouldn't push him away, but conversations would mostly have ended with the realization that Banzu didn't say anything new about himself and everything was just about business and technology.
Also unless it was under-the-table stuff it'd be known that his legal name is Varun Elmas. He doesn't use it unless he has to for a number of reasons.

no i feel you?? this is my problem with hispanic pbs like what is thisAnd Kazuichi's admiration would likely come from the fact his father probably wanted an engineer son oops.One-sided is DEFINITELY in-line with Kazuichi and he does tend to come across a little younger because of his ~bright personality~ so it makes sense. Luckily for Banzu, even if he knows his legal name, he probably won't use it.

And these icons are of a white guy in brownface because they were the least worst. Gotta commission some better ones at some point.Well this seems like a good plan. I can't imagine any particular effort has been made to keep up on Banzu's part but he's at the Salvage Shop and the general area often enough that we can assume they run into each other now and again? Got a post up here if you wanna see how this plays out.

hey well me and my roommate (the Tim player) both offer commissions doublepistolsandawinkThat sounds good! I'll hop to that post once I figure out what the frick I've been doing with my canonmates woops it's possibe that Kazuichi was an idiot and ran off looking for them
