Event Announcement!
Late one night in December after the good little boys and girls of Union have gone to bed, the sound of sleigh bells gently jingling can be heard echoing through the air. Those who sleep less soundly may catch a glimpse of something red and white shuffling through their room in the dead of night, but it moves far too quickly to be seen very clearly. All it leaves behind is a single white bag, festively tied with a bit of ribbon.
Someone's brought presents! It looks like Union's being rewarded for its good work this year. Inside each bag is one (1) adorable plush doll! There's a wide selection of cute toys for everyone to enjoy.
But something's a little off about these presents... They seem to be capable of acting on their own...
Voltorb: This doll explodes periodically at various strengths.
Audino: This doll uses Heal Pulse whenever someone nearby is injured.
Gloom: This doll sprinkles Stun Spore at random on people and Pokemon passing by.
Paras: This doll sprinkles Spore at random on people and Pokemon passing by.
Bellsprout: This doll sprinkles Poison Powder at random on people and Pokémon passing by.
Luvdisc: This doll has big googly movable eyes! Every time it winks, someone near you who could potentially be attracted to you falls under the sway of Attract.
Clefairy: This doll waves its arms and the effect of gravity is doubled! Be careful you don't trip.
Gothita: This doll waves its arms and the effect of gravity is halved! Time to practice moonwalking.
Snover: This doll causes Hail to follow you wherever you go.
Trubbish: This doll spritzes a perfume that causes all Pokémon to be repulsed by you.
Spritzee: This doll spritzes a perfume that causes all Pokémon to want to be your best friend.
Jigglypuff: This doll does nothing but sing Salvation carols loudly and beautifully.
Despite your best efforts, these dolls will follow you around and spread their effects at inopportune moments. They'll escape from even the most secure hiding places.
Each character may receive two dolls over the course of the event, one today and one next week. You may pick the doll you would like to receive! Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer a randomization option ourselves this time due to the holiday madness. If you would like a random option, please use http://www.random.org/ and roll from 1-12! Or ask a friend to decide! This event is not mandatory, as we recognize this is a busy time. You may opt out if you so choose.
The culprit of these shenanigans can also be found running all over Union and causing mild chaos. Delibirds are free to be Bonded with this week and may be requested in the Map Post. They will be Level 5-10.
Additionally, the Dream World will be open once again this week. This week's Dream World Pokémon is Contrary Snivy with Glare. If you don't remember how the Dream World works, please reference the question in the FAQs.
Finally, we would like to note that due to the holidays, the mod team will be a bit scarce for the next few weeks! We apologize if there are delays in getting to mod work. Usually, we try to be as prompt as possible, but please be aware that there may be delays of several days or more, especially on non-vital mod work like personality blurbs. Happy holidays to anyone celebrating at this time, and enjoy the last few weeks of the year!
