Hey guys! We've got an exciting set of announcements for you tonight!

First off, everyone please give a warm welcome to the newest member of our mod team: Ax! Ax has been a dedicated member of this community for quite some time and a helper mod for the last few events; we're all extremely excited that he's agreed to come and serve in a full-time capacity. We've got lots more in store for you guys and with an extra hand around, we'll be able to keep things running much more smoothly! We'll let Ax introduce himself if he has any words to say below.

Second, we'd like to announce that our next event will be happening August 22nd and run for a week! Yes, that's only a week away; however, in light of the fact that the last few events have been heavy and serious in nature, this event will be a light-hearted opportunity for characters to take a load off and relax! Tomorrow, the leaders of Union and all the other civilizations discovered will be announcing the first ever World Fair, taking place in the city of Union itself! Caldera, Citadel, Refuge, and Sanctuary are officially invited; however, there's been some rumblings about the potential of extending an olive branch to the people of Gigas... Regardless of whether or not this happens, the rest of the fair is sure to promise an exciting time.

The following events will be occurring at the fair:

A technology showcase, a world cuisine showcase, a world fashion showcase, live music performances, an unusual Pokémon showcase, a sparring arena, an aerial jousting arena, and carnival games of all sorts! And the highlight of the fair will be a great city vs. city tug of war!

Feel free to plot for this event below and think about if your character might participate in any of the showcases/performances! Additionally, we'll be taking suggestions for more fair events! Finally, please vote on whether or not the people of Gigas will be invited; as usual, this is one vote per player!

Finally, now that everything on the current map has been explored and the power of Mega Stones has been revealed to Union, look forward to map expansion coming up! Our timeframe is not specific yet, but our current prediction is within the next month.

As a player, I'd say Yes because Union would want to at least try diplomacy first, especially after what happened with Sanctuary.
