Everything is back to normal and the Event Pokémon can no longer be bonded with! Thanks for everyone's participation over this last week! There will be no real lasting repercussions from this event - or at least, none that are immediately visible in the here and now. You may continue backtagging the event post and other related posts at your leisure!

A few miscellaneous things:

First, the Taken Lists have been updated by the amazing Sheepy! Please take a moment to look them over and both appreciate the shininess and ensure that your information is correct! Additionally, what we need from you guys is to list your Contact Information - we'd prefer you provide a Plurk or a PM to your journal. Please respond to the appropriate Taken page with this information or with any changes you want made to your listing! You can request icon changes as well if you'd like. Please do not respond with these changes to this announcement.

Second, we're introducing a new mechanic to bonding with Wild Pokémon based off of in-game Chaining! The Map Post has been updated with a section entitled Intensive Searching and Shiny Pokémon, but for your convenience, the rules will be listed here as well:

-Any week, you may select a revealed Pokémon and use an Intensive Search to attempt to find a Shiny.
-If the Pokémon is an Ultra Common, Common, or Uncommon, gain an additional 3% to this attempt. If the Pokémon is Rare, the first attempt is made at the standard Shiny Chance.
-If the attempt fails, each subsequent attempt, be it for an Ultra Common, Common, Uncommon, or Rare, will gain an additional 1% chance to acquire a Shiny.
-These do not all need to be made consecutively, and you can retain your chain, but you will need to provide links to all other chained attempts whenever making a new request or your chain will be reset by the mods.
-Upon obtaining a Shiny, the chain resets.
-Chains apply individually to specific Pokémon and locations; if a Pokémon appears in multiple locations, you must continue to go to the same location to benefit from the chain.

As a note of warning, the starting shiny chance is very low so while this improves your chances marginally, it is very possible that you still won't roll a shiny even if you spend months or if you're very unlucky, years.

Hey all! It's nor here, bringing in Luke fon Fabre from Tales of the Abyss after thinking about it for the passed couple of months aaaaaaah;;;;; This is the first time I've ever played a protag from anything!

Instead of being a dumb ass sass machine replica of Asch, in BNW Luke and Asch ([personal profile] albertstyle) were born as the high maintenance twins of the Fabre family. Luke was sick a lot during childhood, but now he's (just nearly) as strong as his brother and they butt heads all the time. He has an Eevee named Mieu and joined the Swords of the Savior about a month ago because... well, his dad told him to! It's not like he has to work or whatever....

Obviously, for those of you familiar with the canon, this Luke is long haired flavor. You got sent the wrong one by mistake! Don't worry, in a couple of months I'm sure he'll get a hair cut......

I haven't been around much this month, but now I'm all revved up and ready to go! I can't wait to be playing with you guys again!

..because everyone wants another tsun :^)

Yoo, church here, nor and I are attempting Fabre twins! Asch here is from Tales of the Abyss, within his canon he's the original of our lovely main character who just so happens to be a replica. (Is it tacky to spoil a game from 2005?) Luke was apped in as well: [personal profile] tracedarte

Asch wont have any of those terrible memories however for we wont be playing off the replica plot, they've been apped in as twins! Rich, pampered, twins.. of a wealthy family within Union. Their daddy said they both had to obtain jobs that not only assisted the public but ones that bettered the Fabre's "excellent" name. He doesn't expect them to work hard just to be around lbr. Asch is going to "think" he's taking his job seriously when both of them join the Swords of the Savior. By think I mean he's still a little privileged spoon-feed uperclasser that never worked a day in his life so I wouldn't expect grade A service. He's going to want to move up in rack comparative to Luke who'd rather sit around so that's the difference. Let the 'Which twin is that again?' commence.

For now he hasn't awoken as an Enlightened but eventually both he and Luke will become Fennekin shifters. Get into each others heads with that Psychic power, man. They are both going to be super insufferable about every little thing but in each's own special flavor of annoying pissbaby.

He's got a plotting post up here, ding!, if you're looking for some previous CR or whathave you. Annnnd my app, dong!, if you're in need of it. I'm excited, hope to see everyone around :>
