Vote! And Announcements!

First, as promised, it's time for our first vote!
Everyone has favorites (like of course Stunfisk and Bidoof which is why they've already appeared), and it would be a shame if we went a year in the game without one of yours popping up! So every now and then, we're planning to open up new Pokémon to a vote!
Here's how this will work:
A new sub-area will appear within one of the existing areas sometime next week. As you may have noticed already, most of our areas have a certain theme. The Mountains are predominantly Rock-types, the Mines Steel-type, and so on and so forth. While we've tried to offer a wide selection of Pokémon from every type so far, there are a few types that don't have a predominant area yet.
Today, you'll be voting on whether on whether or not the theme of our next area will be Ghost, Dark, or Fighting! The vote for this will close in 48 hours on Sunday night 11:59, after which you'll have another 48 hours to vote for your favorite Pokémon of the chosen type! The top three winners will show up in some capacity within the new area. After the voting is concluded next Tuesday, there will be a small mini-event regarding the discovery of this new area. To vote, simply respond under the proper heading. One vote per player, please!
Second, an announcement for our other mini-event this month: a beauty pageant! ...Or something along those lines. After all the chaos, it’s time for a little bit of R&R as Union prepares for its annual celebration for talented and beautiful Pokémon. On February 14th, we’ll be putting up an IC log. If you’ve played the Hoenn games, this will work similarly to the contests. There will be 3 categories: beauty, talent, and skill. Beauty will consist of showing off your Pokémon’s natural flair and ability to accessorizeas well as your ability to sabotage everyone else, talent will be your Pokémon showcasing a special talent, and skill will be demonstrating their ability to use their moves in innovative and inventive ways! You do not need to sign-up to participate in this event; simply respond to the appropriate portions of the log as you wish. You may enter the same Pokémon in several different categories. Logs will continue for a week and voting will take place after based on the logs as they stand at the end of that week! The winners of each category will receive special prizes!
We'll have a separate thread here for questions on either of these two announcements as well.
On an unrelated note, we’ve received a lot of questions recently about Hidden Abilities and Egg Moves/Tutor Moves. The FAQ has been updated with notes regarding those as well as a question concerning the ability, Pickup.
Finally, as a reminder, we’re also still taking Helper Applications at this time!
Finally finally, Week 4 will be open on the Map/Wild Pokémon page one extra day due to technical difficulties last week when it went up. However, Week 5 will begin tonight.
