Welcome to December’s Brave New(s) World post! Here you’ll find a collection of information concerning events planned and ongoing throughout the month, as well as December-specific OOC announcements, swarms and other information and important links!

OOC ANNOUNCEMENTS
Below are a few housekeeping things that are going on throughout the month of November. Here you'll find information about our calendar for the month, activity check, and other important news.

TIS THE SEASON
Due to the holiday season, we will be doing another low-key event to send us through the rest of the year. Starting on December 6th, the event will take place over a week’s time, and will be further outlined in the Upcoming Events section. Players are encouraged to request an item here for the upcoming event. Outside of the event, there will be plenty going on throughout the month to keep you busy. This is to prepare us for...

ANNIVERSARY EVENT
We are coming up on our two year anniversary in January. It’s hard to believe that this game has been going for so long, and in honor of this occasion, we will be doing a large, plot-heavy event in the month of January that may have a lasting impact on the climate of the game. While we cannot go into too many details at this time, it will be running during the latter part of the month, and will give characters ample opportunity to flex their muscles both in combat, as well as diplomatically and intellectually. As we draw closer to the new year, we will have more solid details regarding this upcoming event, so please look forward to them!

POKÉMINGLE
After looking over the previous Pokémingle, we have decided to make this less of a monthly event. Pokémingles will be posted on off months when we do not have a larger scale event going on. We will be skipping December this time around due to timing, so please look forward to the next log going up in February!

ACTIVITY CHECK
ACTIVITY CHECK IS LIVE
Activity check is effective from December 1st through the 7th, with the warned list going up at 12:00am EST (-05:00GMT). Those players who do not post activity by this time will have 72 hours to post a proof of activity for the month of November before they are ejected from the game.

MEMES
The Test Drive Meme and AU Planning Meme for December and January are now live! We encourage you all to follow both posts and show any new or returning players what makes this game great.

UPCOMING EVENTS AND HOLIDAYS
The following will be taking place over the month of December only, and may or may not be accompanied with a mod-run log. These include game-wide events, player plots and holidays celebrated around the map. Participation is encouraged but by no means required.

SALVATION HOLIDAY
December 6th - December 12th
The annual celebration of Salvation has arrived! The residents of Union are invited to leave wish slips on any tries or similar structures around the city. These wishes can be anything, and the legend says that they are read by a mysterious legendary that bears gifts related to the wishes left on the tree. Please make sure to comment for your character here with an item for your character! Also be prepared for Delibirds hitting the streets this year, clad in festive hats and looking for donations to charity! They'll be ringing bells and asking for your kindness, or your volunteer time. Caroling will spread cheer or bring torment to the city, depending on who you talk to.
And of course, snow! Union will be getting their own snowfall, livening up the holiday for all. A Sawsbuck decoration contest will be held, make sure to bring all your best decorations for a lovely prize. It wouldn't be Salvation without a festival or some sort, inviting for food to be served and entertainment to be had. But beware, other pokémon also love festivities, and they happen to come in swarms sometimes…

ONGOING EVENTS
These mini events have no active expiration date, and will continue until they are resolved, and may or may not have a lasting impact on the game as a whole. These mini-events can be initiated by any players in the game through a plot request (submitted here), and may garner the attention of an event-specific NPC, so be on guard!

MAP EXPAND
With the recent signal expansion, there are still many areas yet to be explored! Trainers seeking new discoveries or experiences are encouraged to check them out!
CURRENT AREAS UNEXPLORED: Frozen Delta, Gigan Badlands, Western Coast

SWARM WATCH!
A swarm will appear in a location for two weeks. Pokémon in a swarm act as an Ultra Common to that area and scale with their level. Requests for a swarm Pokémon can be made in the Map Post for that particular week. Players are not required to make a post in the swarm area, but are highly encouraged. Shiny chaining does apply to swarms, and works the same way as in other areas. Swarm Pokémon are not eligible for blurbs and will follow the general behavior provided.

VANILISH | FOREST SHRINE
Level 8
The Vanilish swarming all around the Forest Shrine are only interested in one thing: Salvation Carols. They are all music lovers, who will cheerfully sing chintzy, seasonably appropriate tunes that they've picked up from somewhere. They're all capable in varying degrees, schooled in a variety of genres, and seem more than happy to follow trainers with the promise of new music.

DELIBIRD | UNION
Level 3
The Delibird are at it again! They're crawling all over Union, delivering gifts and loading you up with all your holiday necessities. Every single one of them is incredibly kind and generous, not a Grinch among them. Trainers that bond with them can expect random gifts throughout the year, ranging from cookies to assorted mugs that they acquire from who knows where.
